Old World Wisconsin is the country's largest outdoor rural museum. Consisting of numerous settlements and farmsteads, the 'museum' portrays the lives of the Germans, Norwegians, Polish, Danish, Finnish, African-Americans and Yankees. Approximately 600 acres of rolling hills join the different settlements, with a tram system to transport visitors from one settlement to another. Old World Wisconsin is located in the Kettle Moraine State Forest in the town of Eagle, just 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee.
